I get a direct payment for social care and have run out of money and I don’t know why. What should I do?

There might be different reasons for this.

You should contact your local council social care team first.

If you have an assessed contribution, this also needs to be paid.

If you are using the correct hours and paying your contribution (if needed ) you can contact your Advisor at Disability Positive to see why you may be running out of money.

If you are using services over your budget, you are expected to top this up. The top up is different to the assessed contribution.
